Welcome to YYC Flavour Finder. I am on the lookout for some of the best places to eat in Calgary. I’m looking for just hands down good food. 

I am in no way a professional chef or anything. I am just someone who is very passionate about food and wants to show what places are a must try in Calgary. 

As for my qualifications I have my Food Handler Certification and my Alberta Food Safety Basics Certification. I have three years of training from certified chefs for just over 240 hours and have worked as a line cook and prep cook in several different restaurants. This still does not make me a professional.

Here are my rules for rating each dish and establishment:

Each dish will be rated out of five stars in the following categories: presentation, taste, texture, and price (based on whether I believe the dish was worth the cost).

The overall establishment rating will also be out of five stars, along with ratings for service, food quality, price, and environment.

To ensure unbiased reviews, I will remain anonymous when dining, visit each establishment two times to check for consistency, and always pay for my food.

Once again I am just someone who is passionate about food and am looking for the best food Calgary has to offer.
